Game of Thrones: Season 4 first trailer released ahead of April premiere

The first trailer of the fourth Game of Thrones season has been released, with the series slated to kick off on April 6. With the trailer we get a short look at what is sure to be an action-packed season of the popular fantasy series. There are nearly two minutes of season footage in this latest trailer, as well, giving a longer look at what's coming than last season's trailer offered.

In the trailer, we get a glimpse of dragon shadow and enough Lannisters for any kingdom, as well as Daenerys and some shots of a smug-looking King Joffrey. Accompanying the trailer is an apropos song -- Feral Love by Chelsea Wolfe -- that sets the tone for what will (crosses fingers) hopefully be a blast of a season. Tyrion is shown in handcuffs, at one point as well, quipping that he probably won't talk his way out of the debacle.

A host of other haven't-been-killed-off-yet characters make their own short appearances, some with some lines and most others without any. If you haven't seen the other seasons yet, you'd be best advised to avoid watching the trailer, as a careful eye and a bit of putting two and two together will bring some spoilers your way.

At the conclusion of it all is a nice summary: "If you want justice, you've come to the wrong place." If you're excited for the upcoming season, you're certainly not the only one. Late last year, word surfaced that Game of Thrones was the most pirated television show of 2013, holding fast to the title it earned back in 2012, as well. As such, the series beat out the piracy rates of massively popular Breaking Bad, and trumped The Walking Dead, as well, which came in at number three on the list.

Samsung 110S9 110-inch UHD TV aims at ultra high-end TV market

Samsung has TV that fit into just about ever niche on the TV market. The company makes cheap TVs that have small screens catering to people on a budget along with medium and large size conventional sets. Samsung also has a line of massive TVs aimed at the ultra high-end segment of the TV market where you have to be rich to play.

TVs in this segment can cost tens of thousands of dollars. Some of the really big TVs like the Samsung 110S9 you see here can cost well over $100,000. This TV is tipped to sell for around $152,000. It's a gigantic set with a 4K Ultra HD resolution packing in 8 million pixels.

The TV has lots of Samsung tech inside to make the picture as high quality as possible. Samsung isn’t offering a lot of details on the massive 110-inch TV, but it will be on display at CES 2014 kicking off early next month.

The TV is built when ordered and will be available in China and the Middle East to start with availability in other countries later. As expensive as the TV is, Samsung says that it has already received "strong interest" in the massive set from its VVIP global customers.

LG Smart TV to WebOS: You're coming to Vegas

LG has made good on its promise to resurrect WebOS in the living room.

An LG researcher, Hong Sung-pyo, said at an event in Korea on Thursday that the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) next month will play host to the company's first WebOS-based Smart TV. The television will include a 2.2GHz dual-core processor and 1.5GB of RAM, according to Hong.

WebOS has had a long and disappointing experience in the electronics business. The operating system was initially hailed as the Palm's savior, but quickly proved incapable of resurrecting the mobile firm. After HP acquired Palm, WebOS was again pushed as an option for the company, but again the carpet was pulled out from under the operating system.

Earlier this year, much to the surprise of many industry pundits, LG announced that it had acquired WebOS from HP. But unlike its predecessors, LG said it had no plans to bundle it with mobile, deciding instead that it might be a suitable option for HDTVs. We'll find out for sure if it actually is a suitable option early next month in Las Vegas when the industry's massive conference kicks off. And as always, CNET will be there to catch every last minute.
