Just when you thought Hoenn Hype couldn’t get any more underground exciting, the team behind the film rights to Pokemon have granted a green light to a 2015 film. This film will include several Pokemon unique to the Pokemon Omega Ruby and Pokemon Alpha Sapphire games, including the stars - Primal Reversions of the Legendary Pokemon Groudon and Kyogre!

These massive beasts have been confirmed by CoroCoro Comic magazine to be hitting a full feature-length Pokemon film in the year 2015 for global release. At this time it is not clear whether the film will be released to theaters inside the United States - but you can bet we’ll get a DVD drop sooner or later.

The most recent Pokemon film to be released in Japan has been Pokémon the Movie: Diancie and the Cocoon of Destruction - and we’ve still not gotten that one here in the states. Have a peek at the trailer here:

Looks like a real masterpiece of Pokemon oddity, yes? We’ll expect the Omega Ruby, Alpha Sapphire movie to be a lot more grand. With the response we’ve seen the Omega Ruby Ruby and Alpha Sapphire here in the USA so far, we can’t imagine a world without a release of the film as well. Up next - LEGO!

Kung Fury trailer takes retro-futuristic camp to a new level

If you've always wondered what it'd be like to see the special effects environment of Machete and the acting skills of those involved in Lethal Weapon 6* combined, it's your lucky day. A group of creators by the name Laser Unicorns are creating a masterpiece of pop-culture mashup mixed with high-end at-home special effects together to make what's called Kung Fury. This is a film that must be seen to be believed.

What you're about to experience is a trailer for a film that'll be directed by David Sandberg, a fellow you'll likely have never heard of before. He's working with production company Lampray, a do-it-all film company that until now has worked on relatively small projects. Together they've begun work with Sweden-based Salmon Fox and have made an epic bit of footage with so much Green Screen it'd make George Lucas wish for more realistic set-pieces.

It's going to be difficult for George Lucas to handle all the Green Screen elements in this film. George Lucas will have to be contacted to make certain he views it, of course.

Nearly the entire film has been shot at the point at which this film hits KickStarter. Here the team aims to grab cash for distribution and everything else involved in releasing a motion picture such as this to the world. At this point you'll be trading cash to see your name in the credits and/or to get a piece of the film in your hands - like Thor's helmet, for example.

There's a soundtrack too. And above when Lethal Weapon 6 is mentioned, it's this one: *Lethal Weapon 6 as it appears in the 2013 episode of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

At this point the creators of this film are also aiming to roll out the full 30 minute movie for free to the web. If they surpass their KickStarter goal by a 5x, they'll be pushing for their "Academny Award Nominated Producer Mathias Fjelsstrom" to speak with a potential distributor. At that point the script will be re-written and a full movie narrative will be initiated - a full-sized beast of a film will henceforth be made.

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy cast filled out: Vin Diesel joins as Groot

This week the final member of the Guardians of the Galaxy has been announced, bringing Marvel Comics’ high-flying space-bound superhero movie forward for 2014 with Vin Diesel as lead character Groot. This character is the largest in the bunch, existing as a sentient tree, and one of five members of the diverse alien group. Also here - in order - are Drax the Destroyer, Gamora, Star-Lord (aka Peter Quill), and Rocket Raccoon.

Actors involved in this picture - in these lead roles - are as follows: Drax the Destroyer will be played by Dave Bautista. Bautista is better known for his role with the WWE as wrestler “Batista” and his parts in both Riddick (with co-star Vin Diesel) and The Man with the Iron Fists. Gamora will be plead by Zoe Saldana, known for her roles in Avatar, Star Trek and Star Trek Into Darkness, and Pirates of the Caribbean.

Star-Lord will be played by Chris Pratt. This fellow is best known for his part as Andy Dwyer in the television comedy series Parks and Recreation. He’s also done over a dozen other smaller films and long runs in TV series Everwood and The O.C.. Finally you’ll find no less than Bradley Cooper playing the littlest member of the group, Rocket Raccoon. Cooper is known most recently for his roles in The Hangover series, Limitless, and Silver Linings Playbook.

Below this sentence you’ll see somewhat of a spoiler if you’ve not seen the bonus scene at the end of Thor: The Dark World, so keep that in mind. Benicio Del Toro will be reprising his role of The Collector here, aiming to continue gathering his set of five Infinity Gems more than likely.

You’ll also find actor Djimon Hounsou returning to the big screen after a couple of years away from the film circuit other than the movie Baggage Claim. The public knows him best for his roles in Gladiator, Blood Diamond, Constantine, and The Island. In Guardians of the Galaxy he’ll be playing Korath the Pursuer.

BONUS: Above you’ll see the first leaked teaser-trailer for the film, complete with off-set comic-con filming action. You’ll also see John C. Reilly as Rhomann Dey and you might catch a moment of Glenn Close as Nova Prime, but good luck!
